Rugby fever arrived in Piercestown National School on Thursday October 3rd, as Ireland took on Russia in the group games. It was almost perfect timing with kick off taking place at 11.15am. This meant the children had enough time to get out for break and gather when the bell rang to sing Ireland’s Call, before returning to their classrooms. Their teachers reassure us the learning was cross curricular from maths, to music, to recount writing and much more. The result went Ireland’s way after the upset of Saturday. Check out Ms. Rea and her Senior Infants preparing for the big game in the attached video.
