World Book Day 2024!!
4th class had a ball during World Book Week 2024. From paired reading with senior infants, to reading at the beloved book fair, from writing and designing our own personal comic books, to designing and decorating book covers for our favourite reads, from our new class novel “Holes” by Louis Sachar, to whole school quizzes, from the craic and fun to everything in between, we sure have been busy!!! Hearts BEATing fast in 4th class
Last Wednesday, our very own Willow was lucky enough to be chauffeur driven to school by the one and only BEAT FM Audi. The BEAT team visited Willow in her home before school for some breakfast, fun and games, before driving herself, Aoibhinn and Beau to school, where they were welcomed by their very excited friends and staff alike. 4th class had some fun with the BEAT team and were gifted some lovely BEAT merchandise and goodies. What an exciting morning!!!
A little look at what we got up to in SEPTEMBER…
This is 4th class here writing our first blog post… Today we are going to tell you about the last few weeks in school. We had great fun doing a coca cola and mentos experiment. CJ and Luca dived down to drink it…
On 13th of September it was Roald Dahl day. We had a quiz. Heath, Donagh, kyle [me who is typing] , Santiago , Aidan and Luca won. It was close. We won by a point. It went to a tie breaker.
The rugby world cup has started. We did sweep stake in our class. Graham has returned and started to teach us rugby. It is great fun.
The mobile library comes every second Friday so we can choose from their selection of books to read.
WELL DONE LUCA!!!
Well done to our very own Luca who was representing his club, Kilmore A.C., on a very rainy Sunday last week and took home a medal!!

WORLD BOOK DAY 2023
4th class joined all their fellow schoolmates in celebrating World Book Day this year. To mark the occasion, our much loved book fair returned to Piercestown N.S. We also participated in a whole school book quiz led by the terrifying Ms. Trunchbull (EEEK), as well as paired reading with our little friends in Senior Infants. 4th class designed and decorated their classroom door…can you guess which story we chose??
