Student Council Returns 2023!

Post Covid, we are delighted to announce the return of our Student Council! The children were so excited last Friday, 24th February when a special assembly was held for 3rd to 6th classes, to reintroduce our Student Council. Ms. Walsh talked to the children about the qualities needed to make a good student councillor and the important role that a Student Council can play. She also explained to them how the election process will work.
During the coming week, candidates who are interested will prepare and deliver a speech to their class, explaining why they would like to be a member of the Student Council and outlining some of their ideas for improving school life. Voting will then take place and two successful candidates from each class will form the newly elected Student Council of Piercestown N.S. 2023. Best of luck to all the candidates!
