Junior Infants had lots of fun during Science Week last week. Among our favourite activities were the ‘float or sink’ and ‘magnets’ experiments.

During our float or sink experiment we even learned why an orange with the peel on will float, while an orange with the peel off will sink!! We were also lucky to have some boys and girls from 2nd class join us for this experiment on the day!

We also learned a lot about magnets and various types of materials. We went on a magnetic hunt around our classroom to investigate which materials were magnetic and which materials were not.
