Huge congratulations to Ms. Hearne and her victorious Rackard League girls football team who secured a coveted place in the final today! Shout out to Miss Butler and the girls from Murrintown also who make up the other half of the team. Ms. Hearne reported back that it was a hard fought victory. It was an extremely low scoring first half during which the team soaked up lots of pressure. The backs and goalie put in an outstanding performance and Piercestown lead 1-0 to no score at half time. The second half proved to be very exciting with great contribution from every player on the pitch and those brought on throughout the second half. The final whistle blew and the girls, teachers and parents were jumping for joy! So with a place secured in the final…it means there are still some training sessions to go…watch this space for more info!
