Knockout season is upon us and to date all of our teams have successfully reached the knockout stages.

The first to brave the knockout stage was the boys Rackard league team. They headed to Bree for their quarter final today where they  defeated Bree in an exciting and nerve shattering match. But they emerged victorious and are chomping at the bit to see who they will meet in the semi final stage.

Best of luck to Ms. Hearne, Ms. Butler from Murrintown and the camogie Rackard league team who take on Adamstown in their quarter final this Friday in Taghmon at 3.30pm.

Finally, after paying the last round of their group in torrential conditions on Monday last, the girls rounders team have also qualified for quarter final stages. Details to be confirmed. Well done to Mrs. Cooney, Ms. Lyttleton and the girls!

There are plenty of sliotars being practised with around the Piercestown Murrintown area these days. Fingers crossed for continued success.
