Tuesday 15th Nov. sees day one of our Parent Teacher meetings kick off.

School closes at 2.45pm to facilitate a quick turn around for meetings to begin.

As parents are the primary educators, the teachers look forward to discussing your child/ren’s progress and/or any concerns or queries you may have.

Ms. Walsh is also available on the day.

The remaining Parent Teacher Meetings take place on Tuesday 29th November.

Football final leads to replay

replay

The fog might have covered the ‘super moon’ tonight but there was no stopping the girls of Piercestown N.S. and Murrintown N.S. as they took on Adamstown in the Rackard League final tonight. It was a nail biting match- certainly not for the faint hearted. After a low scoring first half we trailed by a point. Within seconds of the starting whistle of the second half the back of the net was rattled to give Piercestown/Murrintown the much wanted lead. Both sides fought tooth and nail and agonisingly Adamstown secured the equalising point to bring the game to extra time. After a tough 50 minutes the girls had to dig deep into their reserves for extra time. It almost seemed out of reach, with Piercestown/Murrintown trailing by a point, only for the referee to award a free which secured us another bite at the cherry! While there was bitter disappointment in the changing room, we live to fight another day. Huge thanks to all of the supporters tonight and the Camogie/Ladies football who supplied refreshments and pizza in the Martin’s centre after the game! Best of luck to Ms. Hearne and Ms. Butler and the girls in the final. Watch this space for the date of the replay!
