Christmas Cards – Sample sent home

christmas cards

With Halloween over, the Christmas spirit is starting to edge it’s way into shops and classrooms alike.

We are delighted to be taking part in the design of our Christmas cards which act as both a keepsake for you the families and a fundraiser for the school.

To date all children have received a sample of their Christmas card which they are entitled to keep regardless of purchases.

The children have all received their sample Christmas cards and the deadline for return to order cards is:

Friday 13th November 2015

to ensure delivery in time for the writing of the Christmas cards.

Well done to all of the children for their fantastic designs. We could have opened our very own Hallmark shop!

Many thanks to all who supported our Christmas fundraiser.

Rackard League Final for the girls – throw in 6.15pm

best of luck

All roads lead to Patrick’s Park in Enniscorthy this evening as the girls from Piercestown N.S. and Murrintown N.S. head off for their Rackard League football final.

Under the guidance of Ms. Hearne and Ms. Butler an amazing amount of training and preparation has taken place.

All that is left is for the ball to be thrown in.

So come along and support the girls as they endeavour to bring home some silverware!

Best of luck to all involved!!

Support your Club – up the Martin’s

St martin's wexford

St. Martin’s Club have TWO hurling teams in County Finals in Wexford Park this Sunday Oct 25th , Junior at 1.15pm and the Seniors at 3pm. To give them the maximum support, the club would like for people to attend AND to create the loudest noise by sitting together in the Main Stand (huge echo effect) Clonard end between 40 and midfield. Let’s make some noise!

Up the Martin’s!

Freaky Friday – Day of Action Friday 23rd October (Happy Halloween)

walk to school

As part of our work on flag number 5, Biodiversity our day of action will take place tomorrow Friday 23rd October.

Our guest speaker is Paddy Madden from the Heritage in School Scheme. Part of the day will see the children getting a chance to plant daffodil, crocus and tulip bulbs for next Spring.

To start the day, we have have a FREAKY FRIDAY WALK, from St. Martin’s Community Centre, weather permitting. Pupils may dress in their Halloween costumes and asseble at the centre from 9.15am. This revises our flag number 4 travel where our motto was ‘Be Cool and Walk to School’.

At the moment, children are busy devising and designing motto’s for Biodiversity – the winner will also be announced on Friday.

So let’s get our freak on (doesn’t have to be scary ) Bring on tomorrow for some Friday fun to go with the Friday feeling!

School will finish tomorrow at the normal time of 3.00pm.

We wish you all a lovely Halloween break!
