We wish all our pupils and families a very happy new year. We hope everyone had a great Christmas and that Santa was generous. School will re-open on Wednesday, January 6th at 9 20 am. Looking forward to seeing everyone. As this is the feast of the Epiphany, senior classes will attend mass at 10 am.

Service change of time.
Please note that our Christmas service on Thursday December 17th in now on at the later time of 1 30 pm as there is a funeral on earlier. All welcome to come along to our service and join us singing and celebrating Christmas.
We are also encouraging the children to fill up a food hamper in each class for the poor and needy. Any non-perishable items such as tins, tea, coffee etc. We appreciate your support.
Concerned parents.
The shortage of places in our secondary schools is approaching crisis point and a major source of frustration and concern for parents of students in primary schools. A committee has recently been formed with the working title “Concerned Parents for Secondary Education in Wexford”.
The committee is holding a public meeting on Wednesday, December 16th at 8 pm in the Talbot Hotel. All concerned parents are encouraged to attend. The purpose of the meeting is to construct a campaign that will result in secondary school places being made available on a fairer basis than currently exists in Wexford.
Mini Bazaar
Piercestown Parents’ Association are organising a Mini Bazaar on Tuesday December 22nd in the Scout and Guide hall. Chocolate stall, bottle stall, cake stall and other fun activities from noon. Coffee and cakes available for visitors from 11 am. Children may visit with their parents from noon.
Bottles and chocolate may be left in the school corridor every morning. Raffle tickets have been distributed to every family. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Piercestown Parents’ Association will host “WHO WANTS TO BE A THOUSANDAIRE” in the Talbot Hotel on Friday March 4th 2016. Further details later.
