December 2024 – Santa Visit!
Just before our Christmas holidays, the students from the Le Chéile suite and their teachers had the most magical adventure – we were transported to the North Pole to visit someone very special!
We were welcomed by Santa’s busy elves, who painted our faces and helped us create Christmas cards for Santa Claus himself. Then, we met Mrs. Claus and even helped her make tea! The excitement didn’t stop there – we finally met Santa, who had our Christmas lists ready and reassured us that we were all on the good list.
As if that wasn’t enough, we received wonderful gifts and even met some of Santa’s animals. It truly was the Best. Day. Ever!

Mad About Chicks!
From Cluckingham Palace to Hensington Palace- new members arrived at our school community!
The month of March reached new heights of excitement in Piercestown National School! I doubt that the arrival of actual royalty would have even rivalled this event. Ms Sinnott and her class were home to an incubator and some eggs. The process was documented, recorded and experienced near and far throughout our school community!!!!
The incubator (Cluckingham Palace) was funded by the Tractor run and added the most wonderful teaching and learning experience for our entire school community. The four chicks soon moved to their new home, that of ‘Hensington Palace’ (also located in Ms. Sinnott’s room) and have recently ‘flown the nest’ to their forever farm in Ballindaggin!
